A big third inning was key in the three-inning win over Baltic on Thursday.\u00a0 Dell Rapids scored two runs in the bottom of the first and two more in the bottom of the second for a 4-0 lead.\u00a0 They exploded for 11 runs in the bottom of the third to end the game on the 15-run rule.\u00a0 Dell Rapids took advantage of three errors and 10 walks.<\/p>\n
Gauge Bunkers had two hits, one a double, and three RBIs.\u00a0 Tommy LaVoy had a single and two RBIs.\u00a0 Jackson Peppel added a triple and an RBI.\u00a0 Lincoln LeBrun ended with a single and an RBI.\u00a0 Drake Eastman, Connor Hanson, and Kenny Swanson all had one hit each.\u00a0 Jake Heinitz had an RBI.\u00a0 Bunkers pitched all three innings and allowed a hit and walk with four strikeouts.<\/p>\n
Early runs led to the win over Howard in the first game of the double-header on Sunday.\u00a0 Dell Rapids scored two times in the bottom of the first and four more in the bottom of the second for a 6-0 lead.\u00a0 Howard scored two runs in the top of the third to make the score 6-2.\u00a0 Dell Rapids would get a run in the bottom of the third and one more in the fourth.\u00a0 They had a four-run fifth inning to end the game on the 10-run rule.<\/p>\n
Peppel finished with two hits, one a double, and an RBI.\u00a0 Hanson had a single with two RBIs.\u00a0 Swanson had a single and an RBI.\u00a0 LeBrun and LaVoy each had a single.\u00a0 Eastman ended with an RBI.\u00a0 Ryan Stubbe pitched three innings and allowed two earned runs on three hits and four walks with four strikeouts.\u00a0 Bunkers pitched two innings walking one and striking out three.<\/p>\n
Hanson and Eastman combined for a five-inning no-hitter in the second game.\u00a0 Dell Rapids scored three times in the bottom of the first inning, two in the second, and three more in the third for an 8-0 lead.\u00a0 They would add two more runs in the bottom of the fifth to end the game on the 10-run rule.<\/p>\n
