Drake Eastman scored on an error in the top of the first inning, and that was the only run of the game in a defensive battle with Clark\/Willow Lake on July 10th.\u00a0 The two teams combined for just five hits in the game, four of those by Dell Rapids.<\/p>\n
Jake Heinitz had two of the four hits.\u00a0 Eastman and Jackson Peppel each had one hit.\u00a0 Tad Tjaden pitched all seven innings and allowed just one hit and one walk while recording 17 strikeouts.<\/p>\n
On July 11th the offense came alive for Dell Rapids against the Rattlers.\u00a0 They scored a run in the top of the first, four in the third, two in the fifth, and one more in the sixth in an 8-0 win.\u00a0 Cole Ruesink pitched six innings and allowed just one hit and one walk while striking out nine batters.<\/p>\n
Eastman had two hits, one a double, and two RBIs.\u00a0 Ruesink and Gauge Bunkers each had two hits.\u00a0 Tjaden and Talan Millage both had a single and an RBI.\u00a0 Heinitz also collected a hit.<\/p>\n
In their third game in three days, Dell Rapids started the game with Lennox on July 12th with three runs in the bottom of the first.\u00a0 The score remained 3-0 until the fifth inning.\u00a0 Lennox scored two times in the top of the inning to cut the lead to 3-2.\u00a0 Dell Rapids then rallied for seven runs in the bottom of the inning for the 10-2 win.<\/p>\n
Connor Hanson had two hits, one a double, and three RBIs.\u00a0 Ruesink had the other hit for Dell Rapids.\u00a0 Eastman, Bunkers, Millage, Lincoln Fersdahl, and Matthew Nelson all had one RBI each.\u00a0 Eastman pitched five innings and allowed two runs, both unearned, on two hits and four walks with seven strikeouts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
