In the first game of the double-header, nine straight runs paced Dell Rapids to the win.\u00a0 The Phils scored three runs in the top of the first, three in the third, and another three in the top of the fourth for a 9-0 lead.\u00a0 Sioux Falls Christian scored three runs themselves in the bottom of the fourth.\u00a0 Dell Rapids added one more in the fifth.<\/p>\n
Brandon Schmidt had three hits and two RBIs.\u00a0 Drake Eastman finished with two hits, including a triple. Lincoln Fersdahl had a home run and two RBIs.\u00a0 Treyse Eastman and Will Zwach both had a single and an RBI.\u00a0 CJ Smith and Quinn Carr each had a hit.\u00a0 Cole Ruesink pitched 3 1\/3 innings and allowed three runs, two earned, on a hit and five walks with two strikeouts.\u00a0 Zwach pitched 1 2\/3 innings and allowed three hits and a walk with three strikeouts.<\/p>\n
The offense was strong in the later innings in the second game against Sioux Falls Christian.\u00a0 The Phils scored two times in the top of the first.\u00a0 Sioux Falls Christian cut the lead in half, 2-1, with a run in the bottom of the third.\u00a0 Dell Rapids then rallied for three in the top of the fourth, one in the fifth, and two runs in the sixth to extend the lead to 8-1.<\/p>\n
Smith had two hits, one a double, and two RBIs.\u00a0 T. Eastman also had two hits, including a double, and an RBI.\u00a0 Sutton Williams added a single and an RBI.\u00a0 Ruesink also had a double.\u00a0 Tad Tjaden and Talan Millage each had a hit.\u00a0 Fersdahl finished with an RBI.\u00a0 Fersdahl threw six innings and allowed an earned run on five hits and four walks with 12 strikeouts.\u00a0 Millage pitched one inning and allowed a hit with two strikeouts.<\/p>\n
A nine-run inning secured the win for the Phils against Volga on Friday.\u00a0 Dell Rapids started the game with three runs in the top of the first.\u00a0 Volga got one run back in the second.\u00a0 Each team scored a run in the third, and Dell Rapids led 4-2 after three innings of play.\u00a0 Volga pulled within a run, 4-3, after getting one in the bottom of the fifth.\u00a0 The Phils then scored nine times in the top of the sixth to secure the win.\u00a0 Volga did score two times in the bottom of the sixth.<\/p>\n
Millage finished with three hits and two RBIs.\u00a0 T. Eastman had two hits, one a double, and two RBIs.\u00a0 Williams and Zwach both had two hits and two RBIs each.\u00a0 D.
