The first game needed extra innings, going nine, before Dell Rapids earned the victory.\u00a0 The visiting Dell Rapids team scored four times in the top of the first.\u00a0 Brandon Valley scored two times in the bottom of the second and then took the lead 5-4 with three runs in the bottom of the fourth.\u00a0 Dell Rapids regained the lead with two runs in the top of the fifth.\u00a0 Brandon Valley tied the game 6-6 with a run in the bottom of the fifth.\u00a0 Cole Ruesink broke the 6-6 tie in the top of the ninth with a two-out, two-run home run to left field.<\/p>\n
Talan Millage had two hits and two RBIs.\u00a0 Drake Eastman had two singles.\u00a0 Ruesink had a home run and two RBIs.\u00a0 Jack Henry had a home run and an RBI.\u00a0 Mason Stubbe added a double, and Treyse Eastman had a single.\u00a0 Millage pitched 6 1\/3 innings and allowed four runs, two earned, on eight hits and three walks with five strikeouts.\u00a0 Quinn Carr pitched 1 2\/3 innings and allowed two earned runs on three walks and two strikeouts.\u00a0 Tad Tjaden pitched one inning and allowed one walk and had two strikeouts.<\/p>\n
A big third and fourth inning for Dell Rapids helped them to a win in the second game of the double header.\u00a0 After a scoreless first inning, both teams scored a run in the second for a 1-1 tie.\u00a0 Dell Rapids scored four times in the top of the third.\u00a0 Brandon Valley got one run back to make the score 5-2.\u00a0 Dell Rapids added another three runs in the top of the fourth to extend their lead to 8-2.\u00a0 Brandon Valley had a four-run bottom of the fourth to cut the lead to 8-6.\u00a0 Dell Rapids added a single run in the fifth and sixth innings, while Brandon Valley scored one more run in the bottom of the fifth.<\/p>\n
Lincoln Fersdahl and Tjaden both had two hits and an RBI each.\u00a0 Stubbe, Sutton Williams, and D. Eastman all had a single and an RBI.\u00a0 Henry and Millage both had one hit each.\u00a0 Ruesink added an RBI.\u00a0 D.
