Three runs in the bottom of the first inning were enough for Dell Rapids in the first game of regions.\u00a0 The offense, though, kept rolling.\u00a0 Dell Rapids added another run in the second for a 4-0 lead.\u00a0 Madison scored one time in the top of the fourth to cut the lead to 4-1.\u00a0 Dell Rapids then had back-to-back four-run innings to end the game 12-2 on the 10-run rule in the fifth.<\/p>\n
Jack Henry had two hits, including a home run and a double, and four RBIs.\u00a0 Brayden Pankonen also had two hits, one a double, and an RBI.\u00a0 Aiden Boechler added a single and two RBIs.\u00a0 Dylan Kindt and Joe Rechtenbaugh each had a hit and an RBI.\u00a0 Henry pitched four innings and allowed two earned runs on a hit and five walks with nine strikeouts.\u00a0 Pankonen pitched an inning and allowed a hit with one strikeout.<\/p>\n
Another big first inning helped Dell Rapids to an 8-0 lead over Baltic in the second game of the night.\u00a0 The Phils scored five times in the bottom of the first, and then had a two-run third inning and a run in the fourth.\u00a0 The pitching staff held Baltic to just three hits in the game.<\/p>\n
Pankonen, Mason Stubbe, and Treyse Eastman all had a single and an RBI.\u00a0 Kindt and Henry each had a single as well.\u00a0 Kindt pitched 6 1\/3 innings and allowed three hits and three walks with eight strikeouts.\u00a0 Tad Tjaden pitched the final 2\/3 of an inning and walked one and struck out one.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
