\"\"The Beresford\/Alcester-Hudson 16U Black Sox earned their first win of the season on Wednesday, June 21st.\u00a0 They held off Elk Point-Jefferson 9-7 at home.<\/p>\n

Elk Point-Jefferson scored two runs in the top of the first for an early 2-0 lead.\u00a0 The Black Sox cut the lead in half with a run in the bottom of the first.\u00a0 BAH took their first lead of the game, 4-2, with a three-run bottom of the third.\u00a0 The score remained 4-2 after four innings of play.<\/p>\n

Elk Point-Jefferson had a big top of the fifth inning, scoring five times to go ahead 7-4.\u00a0 The Black Sox responded with a four-run bottom of the fifth to regain the lead 8-7.\u00a0 BAH added an insurance run in the bottom of the sixth to make the score 9-7.<\/p>\n

Ashton Oberle had four hits, one a triple, and an RBI.\u00a0 Jax Fickbohm added two hits, including a triple, and two RBIs.\u00a0 Tommy Walth added two singles and an RBI.\u00a0 Jacob Cole had a hit and an RBI.\u00a0 Dillon Davidson ended with a triple.\u00a0 Ethan Bovill had two RBIs in the game.\u00a0 Walth pitched four innings allowing five runs, three earned, on five hits and two walks with nine strikeouts.\u00a0 Fickbohm pitched three innings and allowed two earned runs on four hits and three walks with five strikeouts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
