Centerville built an 8-0 lead after they were done hitting in the top of the fourth inning on Sunday.\u00a0 The Black Sox cut the lead to 8-2 after a two-run bottom of the fourth.\u00a0 Centerville, however, added five more runs over the next two innings while the Black Sox were only able to get one more run in the bottom of the sixth.<\/p>\n
Joseph Anderson had a double for the Black Sox.\u00a0 Ashton Oberle had a hit and an RBI.\u00a0 Jace Adams and Dominic Van Egdom both had a single in the game.\u00a0 Ethan Bovill took the loss pitching three innings allowing three unearned runs on two hits and a walk with three strikeouts.\u00a0 Kasen Voss pitched two innings and allowed six unearned runs on three hits and three walks with a strikeout.\u00a0 Landen Kroger pitched one inning and allowed four earned runs on four hits and two walks.<\/p>\n
In the second game of the day on Sunday, the Black Sox were held to just one hit and were shutout by Madison 8-0.\u00a0 Madison scored a run in the first, two in the second, two in the fourth, one in the fifth, and two more in the seventh inning.<\/p>\n
Van Egdom had the only hit for the Black Sox.\u00a0 Conner Latendresse took the loss pitching three innings while allowing three runs, two earned, on four hits and two walks with four strikeouts.\u00a0 Robert Watkins pitched three innings and allowed three runs, on earned, on two hits and four walks with four strikeouts.\u00a0 Van Egdom pitched 2\/3 of an inning and allowed two earned runs on a hit and walk with two strikeouts.\u00a0 Ben Seeley pitched 1\/3 of an inning giving up a hit and two walks while recording a strikeout.<\/p>\n
Beresford\/Alcester-Hudson nearly completed a comeback against Canton on Monday.\u00a0 Canton led 4-0 going into the bottom of the second inning.\u00a0 The Black Sox scored three times in the second to cut the lead to 4-3.\u00a0 Canton responded with three more runs over the next two innings to lead 7-3 heading into the bottom of the fourth.\u00a0 Beresford\/Alcester-Hudson got two more runs in their fourth inning to trail 7-5.\u00a0 The Black Sox briefly took the lead after scoring four times in the bottom of the sixth.\u00a0 Beresford\/Alcester-Hudson led 9-7 going into the seventh inning, but Canton score four times in the top half of the inning for an 11-9 lead.\u00a0 The Black Sox only scored one run in the bottom of the seventh to fall 11-10.<\/p>\n
Anderson and Voss both had two singles and an RBI each.\u00a0 Cooper Nelson also collected two hits.\u00a0 Adams had a double and an RBI.\u00a0 Bovill and Watkins each had a single and an RBI.\u00a0 Jax Fickbohm added a double.\u00a0 Anderson pitched three innings in the loss allowing four runs, none of them earned, on one hit and three walks with three strikeouts.\u00a0 Oberle pitched 1 1\/3 innings and allowed an earned run on a hit and three walks.\u00a0 Fickbohm pitched 2 1\/3 innings and allowed six earned runs on three hits and seven walks with three strikeouts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
