\"\"The Beresford Jr Legion is hosting the Region 3B Tournament, and Beresford opened the tournament with a 16-3 win over Elk Point-Jefferson on Monday, July 28th.<\/p>\n

Beresford put three runs on the board right away in the top of the first inning.\u00a0 Elk Point-Jefferson got within a run, 3-2, after two runs in the bottom of the fourth.\u00a0 Beresford’s offense then went on a terror.\u00a0 They scored seven times in the top of the fifth and two more in the top of the sixth for a 12-2 lead.\u00a0 Elk Point-Jefferson kept the game going by scoring a run in the bottom of the sixth.\u00a0 Beresford would get four more runs in the top of the seventh.<\/p>\n

Ashot Oberle had two hits, one a double, and two RBIs.\u00a0 Charlie Eide also had two hits with two RBIs.\u00a0 Ethan Bobzin collected a double and single with an RBI.\u00a0 Ian Henderson and Evan Haak each had a single.\u00a0 Lucas Anderson had two RBIs.\u00a0 Kasen Voss pitched all seven innings and allowed three runs, one earned, on five hits and four walks with five strikeouts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
