In the opening pool play game, Beresford took the lead in the bottom of the first with a run.\u00a0 Yankton tied the game, 1-1, with a run in the top of the second.\u00a0 Beresford then scored two in the bottom of the second, two in the third, one in the fourth, and three in the fifth for the 9-1 win.<\/p>\n
Kason Voss had two hits and an RBI.\u00a0 Ashton Oberle also had two hits, one a triple.\u00a0 Ian Henderson had a single and an RBI.\u00a0 Cam Mullinix had a hit.\u00a0 Ethan Bobzin added two RBIs.\u00a0 Charlie Eide and Lucas Anderson both had an RBI.\u00a0 Oberle pitched five innings and allowed an unearned run on three hits and a walk with seven strikeouts.<\/p>\n
A late rally helped Beresford to a win in their second pool play game.\u00a0 East River Nationals scored two runs in the top of the second.\u00a0 Beresford cut the lead to 2-1 with a run in the bottom of the fifth.\u00a0 East River Nationals added a run in the top of the sixth.\u00a0 Beresford would tie the game with two runs in the bottom of the inning.\u00a0 Voss scored on a ground ball from Anderson for the game-winning run in the seventh.<\/p>\n
Voss finished with a double, and Bobzin had a single.\u00a0 Eide finished with two RBIs, and Anderson had one RBI.\u00a0 Tucker Martz pitched seven innings and allowed three runs, just one earned, on six hits and two walks with three strikeouts.<\/p>\n
A five-run fifth inning helped Beresford put the game out of reach in the first game on Saturday.\u00a0 After two scoreless innings, Beresford scored a run in the top of the third.\u00a0 They added two more in the fourth for a 3-0 lead.\u00a0 Marshall got a run back in the bottom of the fourth, but Beresford then plated five runs in the top of the fifth for an 8-1 lead.\u00a0 Each team got one run in the sixth inning.<\/p>\n
Henderson finished with three hits and three RBIs.\u00a0 Voss had two singles and two RBIs.\u00a0 \u00a0Evan Haak had a single with an RBI.\u00a0 Bobzin had a double.\u00a0 Hogan Hybertson added a single.\u00a0 Eide had an RBI.\u00a0 Voss pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs on five hits and three walks with four strikeouts.<\/p>\n
Beresford finished pool play with their fourth win after a 9-2 victory over Minneota.\u00a0 They took the lead in the top of the third with four big runs.\u00a0 Minneota cut the lead in half, 4-2, with two in the bottom of the sixth.\u00a0 Beresford put the game away with a five-run top of the seventh inning.<\/p>\n
Oberle had two hits, including a double.\u00a0 Voss had a single with two RBIs.\u00a0 Haak ended with a double and an RBI.\u00a0 Eide had a single and an RBI.\u00a0 Bobzin, Martz, and Alex Adams all had one hit each.\u00a0 Haak pitched four innings and allowed a hit and two walks with four strikeouts.\u00a0 Anderson pitched 1 1\/3 innings and allowed two runs, one earned, on two hits.\u00a0 Oberle threw 1 2\/3 innings and allowed a hit with two strikeouts.<\/p>\n
In the semifinal bracket play on Sunday, Watertown broke a scoreless tie in the top of the fifth inning.\u00a0 They scored two times for the only two runs in the game to advance to the championship game.<\/p>\n
