The Beresford Jr Legion baseball team added three more wins to their total to improve to 10-3 overall.\u00a0 They defeated Lennox on Tuesday, June 24th, earned a win over Sioux Falls Christian on Wednesday, June 25th, and then defeated Dakota Valley on Friday, June 27th.<\/p>\n
Beresford scored in every inning as they cruised to a big win over Lennox.\u00a0 They scored one in the top of the first for an early 1-0 lead.\u00a0 Lennox got two runs in the bottom of the first to hold a 2-1 lead.\u00a0 Beresford, however, plated nine runs in the top of the second.\u00a0 They added four in the third and two in the fourth to take a 16-1 lead.\u00a0 Lennox scored one more run in the bottom of the fourth, and Beresford had three more in the top of the fifth.<\/p>\n
Evan Haak had three hits, two of them doubles, and four RBIs.\u00a0 Ashton Oberle also had three hits, including a double, and three RBIs.\u00a0 Ian Henderson added two hits, one a double, and two RBIs.\u00a0 Kason Voss had a single and two RBIs.\u00a0 Tucker Martz ended with a double and an RBI.\u00a0 Charlie Eide also had a single with an RBI.\u00a0 Cam Mullinix had a double, and Lucas Anderson finished with an RBI.\u00a0 Voss pitched five innings and allowed three runs, two earned, on six hits and a walk with four strikeouts.<\/p>\n
Oberle pitched five innings of shut-out baseball allowing just two hits while recording five strikeouts in Beresford’s win over Sioux Falls Christian.\u00a0 After two scoreless innings, Beresford erupted for six runs in the bottom of the third.\u00a0 They added a run in the fourth and then ended the game on the 10-run rule with three more runs in the bottom of the fifth.<\/p>\n
Henderson finished with three hits, two of them doubles, and an RBI.\u00a0 Oberle had two doubles and two RBIs.\u00a0 Eide also had two hits with two RBIs.\u00a0 Voss and Hogan Hybertson both had a single and an RBI.\u00a0 Mullinix had a single, and Anderson had an RBI.<\/p>\n
Beresford held off Dakota Valley in a 5-3 win on Friday.\u00a0 They scored two runs in the bottom of the second, two in the bottom of the third, and one in the fourth for a 5-0 lead.\u00a0 Dakota Valley rallied for three runs in the top of the third, but Beresford was able to shut them down the rest of the game.<\/p>\n
Anderson had two singles and two RBIs.\u00a0 Oberle, Haak, and Voss all had a single with an RBI.\u00a0 Martz, Ethan Bobzin, and Ben Seeley all had one hit apiece.\u00a0 Haak pitched 4 2\/3 innings and allowed three earned runs on four hits and three walks with six strikeouts.\u00a0 Bobzin pitched 2 1\/3 innings and allowed a hit and two walks with two strikeouts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
