\"\"The Beresford Jr Legion baseball team earned wins in their previous two games.\u00a0 They defeated Vermillion on Wednesday, June 18th and then defeated Elk Point-Jefferson on Saturday, June 21st.<\/p>\n

Beresford 11, Vermillion 9<\/h5>\n

Early runs were enough for Beresford in their win over Vermillion.\u00a0 Beresford scored three times in the top of the first and four more in the top of the second for an early 7-0 lead.\u00a0 Vermillion scored five times in the bottom of the second to cut the lead to 7-5.\u00a0 Beresford then scored two in the third and one more in the fourth to extend their lead to 10-5.\u00a0 Vermillion responded with three in the bottom of the fourth making the score 10-8.\u00a0 Each team got a run in the fifth inning.\u00a0 The game ended after a scoreless sixth inning.<\/p>\n

Ian Henderson had two hits.\u00a0 Ashton Oberle added a hit with four RBIs.\u00a0 Evan Haak had a single and two RBIs.\u00a0 Charlie Eide had a hit with an RBI.\u00a0 Kasen Voss, Cam Mullinix, and Hogan Hybertson all had one hit each.\u00a0 Haak pitched two innings and allowed five earned runs on three hits and five walks with a strikeout.\u00a0 Henderson pitched 2 1\/3 innings and allowed four runs, but just one earned, on two hits and six walks with two strikeouts.\u00a0 Oberle threw 1 2\/3 innings and struck out one batter.<\/p>\n

Beresford 15, Elk Point-Jefferson 0<\/h5>\n

Tucker Martz held Elk Point-Jefferson to just hit in four innings and struck out one in Beresford’s 15-0 win on Saturday.\u00a0 Beresford scored four in the first inning, eight in the second, two in the third, and finally one in the fourth to end the game on the 15-run rule.<\/p>\n

Henderson had three hits, including a double and triple, with an RBI.\u00a0 Oberle had two hits with two RBIs.\u00a0 Ethan Bobzin added a double and single.\u00a0 Eide had a hit with two RBIs.\u00a0 Haak and Lucas Anderson both had a hit and RBI.\u00a0 Martz ended with a double.\u00a0 Ben Seeley had a single, and Voss had an RBI.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
