The Watchdogs got two runs in the bottom of the first after Keely Merrigan scored on a wild pitch and Tavyn Valder had an RBI single.\u00a0 Keely Merrigan had an RBI ground out in the bottom of the second to push the lead to 3-0.\u00a0 \u00a0That’s all the Watchdogs needed as they held Flandreau scoreless.<\/p>\n
Keely Merrigan and Valder each had a single and an RBI.\u00a0 Kennedy Merrigan, Harley Koth, and Brynlee Mohning all had one hit each.\u00a0 Rylie Laurvick pitched five innings and allowed three hits and one walk with 11 strikeouts.<\/p>\n
The Watchdogs broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the third on an RBI single by Mohning.\u00a0 Keely and Kennedy Merrigan both scored on an error in the bottom of the sixth to pad the Beresford lead to 3-0.<\/p>\n
Mohning finished with a single and an RBI.\u00a0 Keely Merrigan, Capri Mullinix, Vallder, and Lily Seivert all had one single each.\u00a0 Reese Olson also had an RBI.\u00a0 Mohning pitched all seven innings and allowed four hits and a walk with 10 strikeouts.<\/p>\n
Beresford put runs on the board in all four innings of the game in a 12-2 win over Sioux Falls Christian.\u00a0 They scored two in the bottom of the first.\u00a0 The Watchdogs had a big six-run second and then added a run in the third for a 9-0 lead.\u00a0 The Chargers scored twice in the top of the fourth, but Beresford added three in the bottom of the inning to go ahead 12-2.\u00a0 The Chargers were held scoreless in the top of the fifth to end the game on the 10-run rule.<\/p>\n
Valder led the offense with three hits and two RBIs.\u00a0 Koth had two hits and two RBIs.\u00a0 Mulilnix added a single with three RBIs.\u00a0 Keely Merrigan had a single and two RBIs.\u00a0 Kennedy Merrigan and Ivy Keiser each had a hit and an RBI.\u00a0 R. Olson had a single, and Ashlynn Olson had an RBI.\u00a0 Laurvick threw five innings and allowed two runs, one earned, on four hits and a walk with 11 strikeouts.<\/p>\n
The Trojans scored five runs in the top of the first to set the tone.\u00a0 They added three more runs in the top of the second for an 8-0 lead.\u00a0 West Central would score two more times in the top of the fifth while holding Beresford to just two hits.<\/p>\n
R.
