The two teams went back and forth throughout much of the first quarter.\u00a0 The game was tied 11-11 before Chester went on a big run.\u00a0 They ended the first quarter with a 19-11 lead.\u00a0 The Flyers continued their run and went ahead 35-15 with 3:00 to play in the half.\u00a0 The Watchdogs cut the lead to 35-20 by halftime.<\/p>\n

Beresford used a big third quarter to get themselves back into the game.\u00a0 Their pressure defense and offensive rebounds helped them chip away at the lead.\u00a0 The Watchdogs outscored Chester 24-8 in the third quarter and held a 44-43 lead going into the final quarter.\u00a0 Chester scored the first six points of the fourth quarter to go back in front 49-44 with 5:00 to go.\u00a0 Beresford got within a point, 59-58, with :30 to go.\u00a0 After a made free-throw by Chester to make the score 60-58, Beresford had the ball and time to set up a game-winning attempt.\u00a0 A three-point shot from the corner was just short, and Chester gathered the rebound as the buzzer sounded for the win.<\/p>\n

Lily Seivert finished with 24 points and seven rebounds.\u00a0 Harley Koth added 16 points, seven rebounds, four steals, and three assists.\u00a0 Elle Merriman had seven points and five rebounds.\u00a0 Kendra Ellis ended with six points, seven rebounds, and three steals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
