\"\"The Beresford Watchdog football team cruised to a season-opening win in Baltic on Friday, 23rd.\u00a0 The Watchdogs scored in every quarter for a 40-8 victory.<\/p>\n

Beresford put two touchdowns on the board in the first quarter.\u00a0 Ashton Oberle had two touchdown passes to Malachi James, one for nine yards and the other for 29 yards.\u00a0 Payden Hoffman made both extra points for a 14-0 lead.\u00a0 Oberle added a 10-yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter.\u00a0 James also had a 31-yard rushing touchdown.\u00a0 One of two extra points were made for a 27-0 lead.\u00a0 Baltic was able to get a score before halftime on a 13-yard run and two-point conversion for a 27-8 score.<\/p>\n

The Watchdogs extended their lead with a score in both the third and fourth quarters.\u00a0 Landry Sims recovered a fumble in the endzone in the third quarter.\u00a0 Oberle scored again in the fourth quarter on a five-yard touchdown run.<\/p>\n

The Watchdogs had 336 yards of total offense, 126 rushing yards and 210 passing yards.\u00a0 Baltic was held to 166 yards of offense, 122 rushing yards and 44 passing yards.\u00a0 Jax Fickbohm had eight carries for 39 yards.\u00a0 Oberle finished with 12 carries for 32 yards and two touchdowns.\u00a0 James had a carry for 31 yards and a touchdown.\u00a0 Sims had five rushes for 22 yards.\u00a0 Oberle was 16-27 passing for 210 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.\u00a0 James had seven catches for 122 yards and two scores.\u00a0 Hayden Homandberg had three catches for 42 yards, and Elias Perez had three catches for 29 yards.<\/p>\n

Oberle also had 2.5 tackles and two interceptions defensively.\u00a0 Taten Twedt and Cooper Nelson both had 5.5 tackles each.\u00a0 Kohen Schurch finished with four tackles.\u00a0 Dexton Miller, Hoffman, Tate Lyle, and Joseph Sharpe all had three tackles each.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
