\"\"The Beresford Watchdogs will be making the switch from competitive dance to competitive cheer for the 2024 season.\u00a0 The competitive cheer team will be coached by Kristin Jensen.<\/p>\n

“I would like to take a moment and thank the school board for the quick left turn they were willing to take when approached with the idea to go from competitive dance to competitive cheer.\u00a0 I am very grateful for the opportunity,” said Jensen.<\/p>\n

There will be 21 members of the competitive team this year.\u00a0 They will have five seniors this season: Camryn Muhlenkort, Macy Johnson, Stella Schaap, Allie Westra, and Kylie Mockler.<\/p>\n

“This will be a year of growth. This is our first year as a competition cheer team, but this is not to take away from the talent and determination of this team. The team consists of a diverse background of experience from tumbling and stunting but also dance and sideline cheer. I am very excited to bring it all together on the competition floor.\u00a0 I am so proud of this group of young women. They are proving that they are not just cheerleaders, but also academic achievers and multi-talented athletes. Many of these exceptional students have not only made the honor roll but also excel in various sports, showcasing their dedication in the classroom but as a Watchdog.
