In the opening round of the tournament, Post 72 erased a 3-0 lead to get a 6-4 victory over Warner\/Ipswich\/Northville (W.I.N.).\u00a0 W.I.N. broke a scoreless tie with a three-run bottom of the third for a 3-0 lead.\u00a0 Post 72 got a run in the top of the fourth and another in the top of the fifth to make the score 3-2.\u00a0 They took the lead with two runs in the top of the sixth and then added two more in the seventh for a 6-3 lead.\u00a0 W.I.N. got one run in the bottom of the seventh.<\/p>\n
Tommy Walth had two hits, including a double, with two RBIs.\u00a0 Aiden Bobzin also had two singles.\u00a0 Noah Schoenfelder had a single and an RBI.\u00a0 Alec Austin finished with a double, and Miles Eide had two RBIs.\u00a0 Tucker Martz also had an RBI.\u00a0 A. Bobzin pitched five of the seven innings allowing three earned runs on five hits and five walks with 10 strikeouts.<\/p>\n
In the semifinal round on Saturday, Winner\/Colome scored five runs in the bottom of the first and another in the second for an early 6-0 lead.\u00a0 Post 72 scored a run in both the fourth and fifth innings to make the score 6-2.\u00a0 Winner\/Colome added to their lead, 7-2, with a run in the bottom of the fifth.\u00a0 Post 72 tried to rally late in the game.\u00a0 They scored a run in the top of the sixth and two more in the seventh, but the rally fell short.<\/p>\n
Eide finished with three hits, one of them a triple, and two RBIs.\u00a0 Martz had two hits and an RBI.\u00a0 Evan Haak added a double with an RBI.\u00a0 A. Bobzin, Austin, and Schoenfelder all had one hit each.\u00a0 Ashton Oberle had an RBI.\u00a0 Kasen Voss pitched 2\/3 of an inning and allowed five runs, three earned, on two hits and three walks with two strikeouts.\u00a0 Ethan Bobzin threw 3 1\/3 innings and allowed an unearned run on two hits and three walks with two strikeouts.\u00a0 Haak tossed two innings and allowed an unearned run on a hit and two walks with one strikeout.<\/p>\n
In the 3rd\/4th place game on Sunday, Martin used three big innings for the win.\u00a0 They scored seven times in the top of the first inning.\u00a0 Post 72 got two runs back in the bottom of the second.\u00a0 The score remained 7-2 until the top of the sixth.\u00a0 Both teams scored four runs in the sixth inning making the score 11-6.\u00a0 Martin added another four-run inning in the top of the seventh for a 15-6 score.\u00a0 Post 72 scored just one run in the bottom of the seventh.<\/p>\n
