The Watchdogs scored five times in the bottom of the fifth to earn a 7-6 walk-off win over the Dakota Valley Panthers.\u00a0 Two runs scored on an error for Beresford in the bottom of the first inning for an early 2-0 lead.\u00a0 Dakota Valley then scored a run in the second, four in the third, and then another in the top of the fifth for a 6-2 lead.\u00a0 In the bottom of the fifth, Halle Livingston drove home two runs with a triple.\u00a0 Harley Koth tied the game with a two-run single, and Tavyn Valder delivered a bunt that allowed Koth to score on an error to win the game.<\/p>\n
Livingston had two hits, one a triple, and two RBIs.\u00a0 Koth had a single and two RBIs.\u00a0 Keely Merrigan had a double, and Capri Mullinix and Valder both had a single.\u00a0 Brynlee Mohning pitched five innings and allowed six runs, five earned, on five hits and nine walks with two strikeouts.<\/p>\n
The Watchdog offense scored in every inning while belting 12 hits.\u00a0 Beresford scored five in the bottom of the first, three in the second, three in the third, and five more in the fourth.\u00a0 Winner scored their only run in the top of the second inning.<\/p>\n
Ivy Keiser had three hits and two RBIs.\u00a0 Reese Olson finished with two hits, one a double, and an RBI.\u00a0 K. Merrigan had a single and two RBIs.\u00a0 Valder added a triple and an RBI.\u00a0 Ashlynn Olson, Mullinix, Tori Sharpe, and Harper Olson all had a single and an RBI.\u00a0 K. Merrigan had a hit, and Lily Seivert had an RBI.\u00a0 Kate Degan pitched four innings and allowed an earned run on three hits with seven strikeouts.<\/p>\n
The Trojans scored in four of the five innings and built a 14-0 lead after two and a half innings on their way to the win.\u00a0 Beresford’s lone run came in the bottom of the third.\u00a0 West Central scored one more run in the top of the fourth.<\/p>\n
