\"\"The Beresford Watchdogs hosted the Lennox Orioles for their homecoming football game on Friday, September 22nd.\u00a0 The Watchdogs held a lead in the second half, but Lennox went on a big roll offensively and took the win 42-14.<\/p>\n

Lennox took the lead in the first thirty seconds of the game on a 38-yard touchdown pass.\u00a0 The two-point conversion was no good, and the Orioles led 6-0.\u00a0 They added to their lead on a 21-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter to go ahead 12-0.<\/p>\n

The Watchdog special teams made a big play later in the second quarter.\u00a0 Robert Watkins recovered a fumble on a punt return to set the Beresford offense up in great position.\u00a0 Watkins then scored on a one-yard touchdown run shortly after the recovery.\u00a0 Payden Hoffman made the extra point to cut the lead to 12-7.\u00a0 On the very next Lennox possession, Ryan Sveeggen got an interception.\u00a0 Beresford, however, was unable to capitalize on the turnover, and the first half ended with Lennox leading 12-7.<\/p>\n

Beresford took the lead about midway through the third quarter.\u00a0 Watkins forced a fumble, and Jace Adams recovered the ball at the Lennox 11-yard line.\u00a0 Gaval Valder scored on a 12-yard run two plays later.\u00a0 Hoffman connected on the extra point, and Beresford took the lead 14-12.\u00a0 Lennox, however, would take the lead back before the end of the third quarter on a 57-yard run.\u00a0 A made two-point conversion gave Lennox a 20-14 lead.<\/p>\n

The Orioles started to pull away in the fourth quarter and then kept rolling.\u00a0 With 10:18 left in the game, the Orioles scored on a seven-yard touchdown pass and made the two-point conversion.\u00a0 Later in the quarter they added a nine-yard touchdown run and two-point conversion to go ahead 36-14.\u00a0 They scored one more time on a nine-yard touchdown pass for the 42-14 win.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
