The Beresford Watchdog track team took part in the Elk Point-Jefferson Husky Invite held on Tuesday, April 8th.
Jade Rhody took the top spot in the high jump with a jump of 5’2″. The 4x400m relay team of Elle Merriman, Reese Olson, Brynn Voss, and Kylee Collins was third in a time of 5:12.30. Olson also placed third in the 100m hurdles (:18.44) and fifth in the 300m hurdles (:55.74). The sprint medley relay team off Megan Stenen, Isabella Stewart, Sydney DeLay, and Molly O’Neil placed fourth with a time of 5:14.96. Merriman took fifth in the 800m run with a time of 2:43.08. Tavyn Valder placed fifth in the 100m dash in :13.41.
Joseph Sharpe was second in the discus with a throw of 129’6″. Brock Koth placed third in the high hump with a jump of 6’0″. The 4x200m relay team of Jax Fickbohm, Aidan Hamm, Kohen Schurch, and Malachi James was third in 1:36.36. The 4x400m relay team of Hayden Homandberg, Hamm, Payden Hoffman, and Elissas Perez also placed third with a time of 3:50.07. Joseph Sharpe was fourth in the shot put with a throw of 42’10”. Homandberg took fourth in the 800m run with a time of 2:10.65. The 4x800m relay team of Oliver Merriman, Bennett Farley, Henry Huether, and Noah Halvorson finished fifth in 10:07.41. James had a fifth-place finish in the 200m dash in :23.59.
