The Tri-Valley Maroon 16U team scored all their runs between the first and sixth innings in an 11-7 win over CBAH Post 72 on Sunday, July 7th.
CBAH scored two times in the top of the first for an early 2-0 lead. Tri-Valley took the lead with a three-run bottom of the second. They increased the lead to 4-2 with run in the bottom of the third. CBAH regained the lead, 5-4, with a three-run top of the fourth. The lead was short lived. Tri-Valley scored four times in the bottom of the inning to go ahead 8-5. CBAH got a run in the top of the fifth, but Tri-Valley added three more in their half of the inning for an 11-6 lead. Post 72 got one more run in the top of the seventh.
Aiden Bobzin had two hits in the game. Tommy Walth had a single and two RBIs. Tucker Martz also had a single with an RBI. Evan Haak added a single as well. Ashton Oberle pitched three innings and allowed seven runs, three earned, on four hits and three walks with two strikeouts. Bobzin pitched 2 2/3 innings and allowed four unearned runs on four hits and a walk with four strikeouts. Walth threw 1/3 of an inning walking three and striking out one.
