The Beresford/Alcester-Hudson Black Sox scored four runs late in the game for a 4-2 win over Garretson on Thursday, May 16th.
Garretson scored both of their runs in the bottom of the first inning. The score was 2-0 in favor of Garretson until the top of the fifth. Ethan Bovill had an RBI sacrifice fly. Asthon Oberle had an RBI single to tie the game 2-2. Joseph Anderson put the Black Sox in front with an RBI single. The Black Sox scored one more run in the top of the sixth on an RBI groundout by Robert Watkins.
Oberle had two hits and an RBI. Anderson finished with a single and an RBI. Bovill and Watkins each had an RBI. Kason Voss also had a single. Oberle pitched five innings and allowed two earned runs on two hits with six strikeouts. Bovill pitched two innings and allowed three hits with three strikeouts.
