The Beresford 14U traveled to Volga and split a double-header with Volga White on Wednesday, July 23rd.

Volga scored the only run of the game in the bottom of the first. The two teams combined for for just four hits in the five-inning game.
Liam Moumy had the only hit for Beresford, a single. John Savey pitched four innings and allowed an earned run on three hits and a walk.

Both offenses picked up in the second game. Volga got a run in the bottom of the second. Beresford rallied for three runs in the top of the third. Volga got a run in the third and then tied the game, 3-3, with another run in the bottom of the fourth. Beresford then had a big, four-run top of the fifth inning to take a 7-3 lead. Volga rallied for two runs in the bottom of the inning, but that is all they would get.
Bo Eide had three hits. Savey had two hits and two RBIs. Max Kinney added a single with two RBIs. Moumy had a hit. Stetson Lounsbery, Karzen Sommervold, and Boston Jensen all had one RBI each in the game. Lounsbery pitched three innings and allowed two earned runs on five hits and two walks with three strikeouts. Eide pitched one inning and allowed three runs, two earned, on three hits and two walks with one strikeout. Evan Rosheim also pitched an inning and recorded a strikeout.
