Beresford 14U Uses Big Inning for Win over Vermillion

The Beresford 14U baseball team used one big inning to help them to an 8-1 win over Vermillion at home on Wednesday, July 9th.  The win was the sixth in a row for Beresford.

Vermillion took the lead in the top of the third, 1-0, after two scoreless innings.  Bo Eide scored on a dropped third strike play in the bottom of the third to tie the game.  Max Kinney delivered the game winning hit in the bottom of the fourth.  His RBI single made the score 2-1, but Beresford added six more runs in the inning for an 8-1 score.

Eide had two hits in the game.  Kinney and Evan Rosheim both had a single with an RBI.  Karzen Sommervold and Mason Hofer each had one hit.  John Savey ended with an RBI.  Savey pitched a gem, throwing seven innings while allowing one earned run on four hits and one walk with five strikeouts.
