The Beresford high school baseball team suffered an 11-1 loss to Bon Homme on Thursday, May 8th.
Bon Homme scored five runs in the bottom of the first for a 5-0 lead. After a scoreless second inning, Bon Homme added a run in the third for a 6-0 lead. Beresford got their lone run in the top of the fourth. Bon Homme, however, would get a run in the bottom of the fourth, a run in the bottom of the fifth inning, and three more runs in the sixth to end the game on the 10-run rule.
Ashton Oberle hit a home run in the fourth inning for Beresford. Ian Henderson and Cooper Nelson both had a single. Nelson allowed five earned runs on four hits and two walks. Oberle pitched five innings and allowed three earned runs on nine hits and a walk with a strikeout. Henderson pitched 2/3 of an inning and allowed three earned runs on a hit with three walks.
