Beresford scored three early runs and held off Lennox for a 4-2 win at home on Wednesday, April 9th.
Lennox took the lead, 1-0, right away in the top of the first inning. Beresford responded with three runs in the bottom of the first. Kasen Voss had an RBI ground ball, Cooper Nelson scored on an error, and Jax Fickbohm had an RBI ground out for the three Beresford runs. Lennox scored a run in the top of the second to make the score 3-2. The score remained 3-2 until the bottom of the fourth. Ian Henderson had an RBI single to add an insurance run for Beresford.
Henderson had two hits and an RBI. Fickbohm added a single and an RBI. Nelson and Max Kinney both had a single. Ethan Bovill pitched a gem throwing all seven innings. He allowed two runs, both were unearned, on two hits and four walks with four strikeouts.
