The Beresford Watchdog boys basketball team evened their record to 3-3 after a big 70-45 win in Chester on Thursday, January 9th.
The Watchdogs took the lead in the opening quarter and led throughout the entire game. Beresford had a 17-10 lead after the first quarter. Both teams scored 15 points in the second quarter, and Beresford continued to lead by seven, 32-25, at halftime. The Watchdogs went on a big run in the second half. They outscored the Flyers 19-10 in the third quarter to extend their lead to 51-35. Beresford would outscore Chester by the same 19-10 advantage in the fourth quarter.
Tiegen Nyhaug finished with 24 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. Malachi James ended with 23 points, seven rebounds, and three assists. Aidan Hamm added 12 points and three rebounds. Cooper Nelson had six points, five rebounds, and three assists.
