Flandreau Comes from Behind to Beat Watchdog Girls

The Beresford Watchdogs held the lead through the first half, but the Flandreau Fliers took the win 59-39 with a big second half on Thursday, December 19th.

The Watchdogs started the game with a 9-5 lead and extended the lead to 16-7 by the end of the first quarter.  Flandreau went on a 9-0 run to tie the game 16-16 with 3:55 to play in the first half.  Beresford was able to regain the lead and finished the half with a 24-23 advantage.  Flandreau’s offense got rolling in the third quarter.  They scored 21 points and took the lead in the third quarter.  The Fliers led 44-31 going into the fourth quarter.  Flandreau also outscored Beresford 15-8 in the final quarter.

Ella Merriman finished with 28 points, six steals, and two rebounds.  Kendra Ellis added five points.  Harley Koth added two points, six rebounds, and four steals.  Hanah Colford and Lily Seivert both had two points each.
