The Beresford Watchdog volleyball team hosted the Baltic Bulldogs on Tuesday, September 3rd. The Bulldogs took the match in straight sets by scores of 25-19, 25-11, and 25-13.
The opening set was close through the first half. The score was tied 3-3, 5-5, 7-7, and 10-10. Baltic went on a 7-3 run for a 17-13 lead. The Watchdogs scored four in a row to tie the score 17-17. The Bulldogs responded with an 8-2 run for a 25-19 win.
That late run carried over into the second set. The Bulldogs started on a 5-1 run. The lead grew to 15-5. Baltic stayed in front by 10, 18-8, before taking the second set 25-11. The third set started with a 3-3 tie. Baltic then went on a 7-1 run for a 10-4 lead they would not lose. Beresford got within two points, 12-10, but Baltic finished the match on a 13-3 run for a 25-13 victory.
