Post 72 Jr Legion Splits Doubleheader with Dakota Valley

Post 72 CBAH hosted Dakota Valley in a doubleheader on Tuesday, July 23rd.  The two teams split with Dakota Valley winning the first game and CBAH winning the second.

Dakota Valley 7, CBAH 3

An early 3-0 lead kept Dakota Valley in front the entire game.  They got one run in the top of the first and two in the second.  CBAH made the score 3-1 with a run in the bottom of the second.  Dakota Valley extended the lead to 4-1 with a run in the fourth.  CBAH pulled within one, 4-3, with two runs in the bottom of the fourth, but Dakota Valley would add two runs in the fifth and another in the sixth.

Jax Fickbohm finished with a single and an RBI.  Noah Schoenfelder and Ethan Bobzin had the only other hits in the game for CBAH.  Tucker Martz pitched three innings and allowed three runs, two earned, on five hits and three walks with one strikeout.  E. Bobzin pitched two innings and allowed an unearned run on four hits and a walk with four strikeouts.  Evan Haak through one inning and allowed three earned runs on three walks with one strikeout.

CBAH 8, Dakota Valley 2

A big third inning put CBAH in front for good for a win in the second game.  Dakota Valley scored twice in the top of the second inning for a 2-0 lead.  CBAH cut the lead in half with a run in the bottom of the inning.  They then put six runs on the board in the bottom of the third for a 7-2 lead.  They added another run in the bottom of the fifth.

Aiden Bobzin had a double with two RBIs.  Miles Eide finished with a single and an RBI.  Haak and Kasen Voss each had a single and an RBI.  Alec Austin added a double.  Fickbohm, Tommy Walth, and Jacob Cole all had one hit each.  Voss pitched four innings and allowed two earned runs on four hits and five walks with three strikeouts.  Fickbohm pitched two innings and allowed two walks with two strikeouts.
