The Beresford/Alcester-Hudson Black Sox 14U team, hosts for Region 7A, lost their opening round game against Lennox 15-1 on Monday, July 15th.
Lennox put nine runs on the board in the top of the first inning and kept rolling from there. They scored another run in the top of the second and one more in the third for an 11-0 lead. The Black Sox got their lone run in the bottom of the third. Lennox scored another run in the fourth and three more in the fifth before the game ended on the 10-run rule after five innings.
The Black Sox were held to just four hits in the game. Maxwell Kinney had a hit and an RBI. Karzen Sommervold, Boston Jensen, and Mason Hofer all had one hit each.
Beresford/Alcester-Hudson will play Lennox again on Tuesday, July 16th in an elimination game.
