Dakota Valley 13U scored 11 runs in the final three innings to take a win from the Beresford/Alcester-Hudson Black Sox 14U on Monday, July 1st by a score of 13-9.
The Black Sox took a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. Dakota Valley cut the lead to 3-2 after two runs in the top of the second. The offense for the Black Sox put five runs on the board in the bottom of the inning to increase their lead to 8-2. They added another run in the bottom of the fourth for a 9-2 lead. Dakota Valley then started their rally in the top of the fifth. They scored five in the fifth, two in the sixth, and finally four in the top of the seventh for an 11-9 lead.
John Savey and Caleb Hansen had two hits and an RBI apiece. Alex Adams and Karzen Sommervold both finished with a triple and two RBIs each. Maxwell Kinney added a double and an RBI. Adam Fickbolm had a single and an RBI. Mason Hofer had a double. Emmett Manning, Evan Rosheim, and Cameron Mullinix all had a hit each.
