The Pst 72 Jr Legion CBAH baseball team won both games of a double-header against Garretson on Friday, June 28th.
Post 72 CBAH 4, Garretson 2
Four late runs helped CBAH to a 4-2 win over Garretson. Garretson took a 1-0 lead after the top of the first inning. The score remained 1-0 until the fifth inning. CBAH took the lead with two runs in the bottom of the fifth. Garretson tied the game with a run in the top of the sixth. CBAH would get two more runs in the bottom of the sixth for the 4-2 win.
Tucker Martz had a single and two RBIs. Lucas Anderson finished with a single and an RBI. Evan Haak and Kasen Voss both had one hit each. Martz pitched all seven innings and allowed two runs, both unearned, on a hit and two walks with five strikeouts.
Post 72 CBAH 16, Garretson 6
Two big innings led to a 16-6 win for Post 72 in the second game. Garretson again started with a 1-0 lead after a run in the top of the second inning. CBAH scored three times in the bottom of the second and then added eight more in the third for an 11-1 lead. Both teams had a big fourth inning, each scoring five runs.
Miles Eide had three singles and an RBI. Haak had two hits and two RBIs. Charlie Eide also had two singles and an RBI. Voss added a double and two RBIs. Ashton Oberle had a hit and two RBIs. Martz finished with a single and an RBI. Aiden Bobzin had a double. Alec Austin had a single, and James Wickham had an RBI. Haak pitched two innings for the win allowing one earned run on three walks with two strikeouts.
