BAH Black Sox 14U Splits Doubleheader with EPJ

The Beresford/Alcester-Hudson Black Sox 14U team split a doubleheader with Elk Point-Jefferson on Wednesday, June 26th.

Elk Point-Jefferson 13, BAH 4

Elk Point-Jefferson scored five times in the top of the first and cruised to the win in the first game.  BAH got one run in the bottom of the first.  Elk Point-Jefferson then scored three runs in the top of the third and two in the fourth for a 10-1 lead.  BAH got another run in the bottom of the fourth.  Elk Point-Jefferson had three runs in the top of the fifth while BAH scored two times in the bottom of the inning.

Ian Henderson, Karzen Sommervold, and Boston Jensen all had two hits each and an RBI each.  Evan Rosheim added a double.  Benjamin Seeley and John Savey both had a single.

BAH 13, Elk Point-Jefferson 8

Both teams put together rallies in the second game.  Elk Point-Jefferson struck first with three runs to start the game.  BAH took the lead 4-3 after four runs in the bottom of the inning.  Both teams scored a run in the second inning, and BAH led 5-4 after two innings.  Elk Point-Jefferson regained the lead with three runs in the top of the third, 7-5, but BAH had a big six-run bottom of the third to take the lead 11-7 and stay in front for good.  Elk Point-Jefferson got a run in the top of the fourth, but BAH extended the lead with two runs in the bottom of the inning.

Emmett Manning finished with three hits, one a double, and three RBIs.  Mason Hofer had three hits and two RBIs.  Sommervold adde two singles and two RBIs.  Maxwell Kinney had two hits, one a double, and an RBI.  Savey had a single and two RBIs.  Adam Fickbohm, Seeley, Henderson, Alex Adams, and Evan Rosheim all had one hit each.
