The Beresford/Alcester-Hudson Black Sox 14U team hosted Dakota Valley 13U on Thursday, June 13th. The Black Sox scored three times in the bottom of the sixth and then held Dakota Valley scoreless in the seventh for a 9-7 victory.
Beresford/Alcester-Hudson scored three runs in the bottom of the second for a 3-0 lead. Dakota Valley scored a run in the top of the third and then four more runs in the top of the fourth for a 5-3 lead. The Black Sox responded with three runs in the bottom of the fifth to go back in font 6-5. Dakota Valley got two runs in the top of the sixth, but the Black Sox scored three more times in the bottom of the sixth for the win.
Emmett Manning had two hits, one a double, and an RBI. Mason Hofer also had two hits and an RBI. Liam Moumy added a single and two RBIs. Evan Rosheim, Benjamin Seeley, and Cameron Mullinix all had a single and an RBI. Ian Henderson finished with two hits, and Karzen Sommervold had a single. Caleb Hanson pitchedd three innings and allowed two hits with three strikeouts. Mullinix pitched 1 2/3 innings andd allowed a hit and walk with three strikeouts. Rosheim tossed 1 1/3 innings allowing four earned runs on three hits.
