The Beresford Watchdogs scored four runs late in the game for a 4-1 win over the Flandreau Fliers on Monday, May 13th.
The Fliers broke a scoreless tie in the top of the fourth with a run for a 1-0 lead. The Watchdogs took the lead in the bottom of the fifth. Keely Merrigan had an RBI sacrifice fly to tie the game. Ivy Keiser had a two-run home run two batters later to give Beresford a 3-1 lead. The Watchdogs added an insurance run in the bottom of the sixth on an RBI double by Merrigan.
Keiser had a home run and two RBIs. Merrigan finished with a double and two RBIs. Halle Livingston finished with a single. Rylie Laurvick pitched four innings and allowed an unearned run on a hit and four walks with five strikeouts. Brynlee Mohning pitched three innings and allowed one hit while striking out five batters.
