Watchdogs Fall to Bulldogs in Opening Round of Boys BEC Tourney

The Beresford Watchdogs lost their opening round game of the Big East Conference tournament in Flandreau to the Baltic Bulldogs on Thursday, January 4th.  The Bulldogs rallied in the first half for a 58-45 win.

Beresford had a big first quarter and led 12-4 at the end of it.  Baltic rallied in the second quarter to take a 22-19 lead into halftime.  The Bulldogs extended their lead to 36-30 by the end of the first quarter, and then they outscored the Watchdogs 22-15 in the final quarter to secure the win.

Malachi Jamess had 13 points, four rebounds, and two steals.  Aidan Hamm also had 13 points, two rebounds, and two steals.  Tiegen Nyhaug finished with eight points and six rebounds.  Andrew Atwood added six points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
