The Beresford Watchdog volleyball team traveled to Chester to take on the Flyers, who are ranked second in the latest Class B media poll. The home team Flyers took the match in straight sets by scores of 25-13, 25-12, and 25-5.
Chester built an early 6-0 lead and never looked back in the first set. They had leads of 15-3 and 20-7. The Watchdogs made a little 5-2 run to cut the lead to 22-12, but Chester finished the set with a 25-13 win.
Beresford took an early lead in the second set. They were in front 2-1 and 5-4, but Chester then made a run. The Flyers went on an 8-3 run for a 12-8 lead. They followed that with a 10-2 run to extend the lead to 22-10 before winning 25-12.
The Flyers jumped out to a 4-1 lead to start the third set. They held a 9-2 advantage and grew the lead to 15-3 and 20-5. Chester scored the final five points of the match to win 25-5.
