The Beresford Watchdogs earned their first win of the football season on Friday, September 15th. The Watchdogs traveled to Flandreau and shut out the Fliers 27-0.
Ashton Oberle threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Malachi James in the first quarter to get Beresford on the board. Payden Hoffman made the extra point for a 7-0 lead. The Watchdogs scored again in the second quarter. Jack Stenen had a 68-yard touchdown run with 8:27 left in the half. Beresford led 13-0 at halftime.
Neither team scored in the third quarter, and Beresford led 13-0 going into the fourth quarter. Gaval Valder scored his first of two touchdowns in the quarter with 7:21 to go on an eight yard run. His second touchdown came with :58 left to play on a five yard run. Hoffman made both extra points.
