Black Sox Drop Reagular Season Finale to Elk Point-Jefferson

The Beresford/Alcester-Hudson Black Sox finished their regular season on the road against Elk Point-Jefferson on Wednesday, May 17th.  The Black Sox fell by a score of 8-1.

Elk Point-Jefferson scored all their runs in the first two innings of the game.  They scored five times in the bottom of the first and three more in the bottom of the second for an 8-0 lead.  Beresford/Alcester scored their only run in the top of the third.  Joseph Anderson had an RBI single that scored Kasen Voss.

Anderson finished with two hits and an RBI.  Robert Watkins, Ashton Oberle, and Cooper Nelson all had two hits each.  Zac Boden pitched two innings and allowed eight runs, seven earned, on four hits and three walks with two strikeouts.  Ethan Bovill pitched four innings and allowed just one hit while striking out four.
