The Beresford/Alcester-Hudson Black Sox (0-4) baseball team traveled to Parker for a game on Thursday, April 6th. The Black Sox scored first, but fell to Parker 11-1.
Dominic Van Egdom put Beresford/Alcester-Hudson on the board in the top of the first inning with an RBI single scoring Robert Watkins. The Black Sox led 1-0 after the top of the first inning, but the lead was short lived. Parker scored three times in the bottom of the first inning to lead 3-1. They added a run in the bottom of the third, two more in the fifth, and then five runs in the bottom of the sixth to end the game on the 10-run rule.
Watkins had two hits, including a triple. Van Egdom finished with a single and an RBI. Ethan Bovill also had a single. Bovill pitched four innings allowing five runs, four earned, on four hits and three walks with four strikeouts. Watkins pitched 1 2/3 innings allowing six runs, just one earned, on three hits and three walks with two strikeouts.
