Watchdog Girls Golf Returns Entire Team for 2023

Published on

The 2023 Beresford Watchdog girls golf team will return their full team from last year, which includes two state qualifiers from a year ago.

“Everyone from last year’s team is returning.  Pair that with summer practice and the varsity tournament experience from last year, Beresford could be a contender to qualify as a team for the State A Tournament in Rapid City this year,” said head coach Brad Muller.

Senior Maiya Muller, a Morningside commit for golf, is returning for her sixth and final year of high school golf.  She won the State A Individual title in 2021 and finished third a year ago.  Senior Juliann Seeley was also a state qualifier from last year and fell just short of earning a medal in 2022.  The Watchdogs will also have junior Aerial Bear, sophomore Abby Limoges, and eighth grader Kaia Bear back who all competed in the regional tournament last season.  Kayla Jensen (sophomore), Kaeleigh Nohavan (sophomore), and newcomer Lexi Sommervold (7th garde) will all be vying for varsity spots this season.

Beresford’s first event of the season will be at home on April 12th.
