The Beresford Watchdogs had two cross country state qualifiers, one of them a region champion, at the Region 3A cross country meet in Vermillion on Thursday, October 13th. The boys team finished fifth overall with 98 points.
Ella Merriman finished 11th to qualify for state with a time of 20:48.32. Harley Koth (28th) had a time of 22:14.37, and Macy Quartier (39th) finished with a time of 23:10.01.
Andrew Atwood won with a time of 16:24.92. Espyn Klungseth (29th) finished with a time of 18:57.84. Scott Ridley (35th) had a time of 19:16.84. Brock Koth (38th) completed in 19:36.33. Bryce Rozeboom (40th) finished in 19:43.04, and Brady Aasheim (46th) had a time of 20:05.95.
Merriman and Atwood will compete at the 2022 South Dakota Class A Cross Country Meet in Huron on Saturday, October 22nd.
