The River Dawgs were held to just one hit and scored their only run in the third inning in a loss to Brookings on Friday.\u00a0 The Cubs got out to an early 6-0 lead in the first two innings of the game.\u00a0 Brookings would add four more runs in the fifth and another one in the seventh.<\/p>\n
Jon Wilhelmsen had a single and RBI.\u00a0 Andrew Evenson pitched 4 1\/3 innings and allowed nine runs, five earned, on six hits and three walks with one strikeout.\u00a0 Wilhelmsen pitched 1 2\/3 innings and allowed two runs, one earned, on four hits and three walks with three strikeouts.<\/p>\n
Baltic scored four times in the bottom of the ninth to earn a walk-off win over the Tea Steam on Saturday in a back-and-forth ball game.\u00a0 Tea scored a run in the top of the third and two more in the top of the fifth for a 3-0 lead.\u00a0 The River Dawgs scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth.\u00a0 Both teams scored two runs in the sixth, and Tea led 5-4 after six innings.\u00a0 Baltic took the lead with two runs in the eight.\u00a0 The Steam went back in front with a four-run ninth, but the River Dawgs responded with four runs in the bottom of the inning for the win.<\/p>\n
Ray Williams III had two hits, one a double, and an RBI.\u00a0 Ty Schafer had a home run and three RBIs.\u00a0 Matt White, Colbe Scott, and Hunter Larson all had a hit and an RBI each.\u00a0 Logan Bakker had two hits.\u00a0 Ken Longman pitched six innings and allowed five runs, three earned, on nine hits and a walk with two strikeouts.\u00a0 Schafer pitched three innings and allowed four runs, all unearned, on four hits and two walks with seven strikeouts.<\/p>\n
The Flying Squirrels turned a 4-3 lead into a 13-3 win with nine straight runs late in the game on Saturday.\u00a0 Baltic broke a scoreless tie with a run in the top of the fifth inning.\u00a0 Sioux Falls had four runs in the bottom of the inning for a 4-1 lead.\u00a0 The River Dawgs pulled within a run, 4-3, after scoring two in the top of the seventh.\u00a0 The Flying Squirrels, however, scored five times in the seventh and four more in the eighth.<\/p>\n
