In the first pool-play game on Friday, Baltic broke a scoreless tie with five runs in the top of the fourth inning.\u00a0 Volga got one run in the bottom of the fourth.\u00a0 Baltic held Volga scoreless in the fifth to get the win.<\/p>\n
Hayden Sundermann had two hits.\u00a0 Everett Bemboom also had a hit.\u00a0 Maddex Klein, Brody Hansen, and Laken Kortemeyer all had an RBI.\u00a0 Ayden Oschner pitched three innings and allowed an unearned run on a hit and walk with two strikeouts.\u00a0 Michael Grunewaldt tossed two innings and allowed two hits and a walk with four strikeouts.<\/p>\n
A big first inning helped Baltic win their second pool-play game on Friday.\u00a0 Sisseton scored two runs in the top of the first, but Baltic countered with seven runs to take a 7-2 lead.\u00a0 They added another run in the bottom of the second for an 8-2 score.\u00a0 Sisseton cut the lead to 8-6 with four runs in the top of the third.\u00a0 Baltic responded with four runs of their own to make the score 12-6.\u00a0 Sisseton scored two in the top of the fourth, while Baltic scored one more time in the bottom of the inning.<\/p>\n
Bemboom had a hit with three RBIs.\u00a0 Sundermann and Oschner each had a single with an RBI.\u00a0 Grunewaldt also had a hit.\u00a0 Bodhi Giedd ended with two RBIs.\u00a0 Klein, Hansen, and Kortemeyer all had one RBI each.<\/p>\n
Baltic punched their ticket to the championship game with a 10-0 win in six innings over Volga on Saturday.\u00a0 They scored a run in the bottom of the first with five more in the second for a 6-0 lead.\u00a0 Baltic would get three runs in the bottom of the fifth and then ended the game on the 10-run rule with a single run in the bottom of the sixth.<\/p>\n
Bemboom had a hit with two RBIs.\u00a0 Sunderman, Will Oakley, and Kortemeyer all had a hit.\u00a0 Hansen and Oschner each had an RBI.\u00a0 Oakley pitched 3 2\/3 innings of no-hit baseball.\u00a0 Hansen pitched two innings and allowed a walk with two strikeouts.<\/p>\n
Sisseton used a big fifth inning to help team win the championship on Sunday.\u00a0 They scored a run in the top of the first.\u00a0 Baltic got three runs in the bottom of the first for a 3-1 lead.\u00a0 Sisseton tied the game, 3-3, with two runs in the top of the second.\u00a0 They added another run in the third for a 4-3 lead.\u00a0 Sisseton then had a big fifth inning scoring six times to take a 10-3 lead.\u00a0 They added three more in the top of the seventh.\u00a0 Baltic scored just two times in the bottom of the seventh.<\/p>\n
