{"id":2383,"date":"2026-04-13T23:20:00","date_gmt":"2026-04-14T04:20:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bigsiouxmedia.com\/baltic\/?p=2383"},"modified":"2026-04-13T23:20:03","modified_gmt":"2026-04-14T04:20:03","slug":"baltic-softball-walks-off-mt-vernon-plankinton-for-win","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bigsiouxmedia.com\/baltic\/2026\/04\/13\/baltic-softball-walks-off-mt-vernon-plankinton-for-win\/","title":{"rendered":"Baltic Softball Walks off Mt Vernon\/Plankinton for Win"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-247\" src=\"https:\/\/bigsiouxmedia.com\/baltic\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/BalticLogo-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"96\" height=\"96\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bigsiouxmedia.com\/baltic\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/BalticLogo-1.png 96w, https:\/\/bigsiouxmedia.com\/baltic\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/BalticLogo-1-80x80.png 80w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 96px) 100vw, 96px\" \/>The Baltic Bulldog softball team earned a walk-off win after Kya Rollinger was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh.\u00a0 The Bulldogs defeated the Mt Vernon\/Plankinton Titians 10-9 for their second win of the season.<\/p>\n<p>The Titans scored three times right away in the top of the third.\u00a0 Rollinger had an RBI single in the bottom of the first.\u00a0 Kaylee Siemonsma and Analiyah Hansen both scored on an error later in the inning to tie the score 3-3.\u00a0 After a scoreless second inning, Mt Vernon\/Plankinton had a four-run top of the third.\u00a0 They added another run in the top of the fourth for an 8-3 lead.<\/p>\n<p>Anna Hoekman drove home two with a double in the bottom of the fourth.\u00a0 She later scored to make the score 8-6.\u00a0 Jordyn Wehde and Ellie Pickett both scored on an error in the bottom of the fifth to tie the game 8-8.\u00a0 The Titans retook the lead, 9-8, with a two-out single.\u00a0 Siemonsma would score on a wild pitch with two out in the bottom of the sixth to tie the score, 9-9.\u00a0 The Titans would load the bases in the top of the seventh but were unable to score.\u00a0 After Wehde started the bottom of the seventh with a single, she would eventually make her way to third after two steals.\u00a0 The Titans loaded the bases with two intentional walks.\u00a0 Rollinger was hit by a pitch on a full count to win the game.<\/p>\n<p>Rollinger finished with two hits and two RBIs.\u00a0 Hoekman added a double and two RBIs.\u00a0 Amelia Sinding and Wehde each had a single.
