The Panthers scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to win a back-and-forth game against the Cubs in pool play.\u00a0 Both teams scored four runs each in the first inning.\u00a0 Dakota Valley took the lead, 8-4, with a run in the bottom of the second and three more in the bottom of the third.\u00a0 The Cubs went ahead 12-8 with an eight-run top of the fourth inning.\u00a0 They added one more in the top of the fifth to lead 13-8.\u00a0 The Panthers tied the game, 13-13, with a five-run bottom of the fifth. Each team scored a run in the sixth, and the game was tied 14-14 going into the final inning.\u00a0 The Cubs scored one run in their half of the seventh, but Dakota Valley tied the game on an RBI sacrifice fly and then scored the winning run with two outs on a wild pitch.<\/p>\n
Paxtyn Moller had four hits, including a double and triple, with four RBIs.\u00a0 Elly Doering also had four hits with an RBI.\u00a0 Jenna Manning had two singles and two RBIs.\u00a0 Sarah Ebert and Alexis Gray both had two hits and an RBI each.\u00a0 Jaeley Christensen added a hit and two RBIs.\u00a0 Delta Pies finished with a double and an RBI.\u00a0 Ella Serck and Emma Moller both had a single and an RBI.\u00a0 E. Moller pitched 6 2\/3 innings allowing 14 runs, 11 earned, on 12 hits and five walks with seven strikeouts.<\/p>\n
The Cubs scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning and that was enough to defeat the Gayville-Volin Raiders.\u00a0 The Raiders got one run in the top of the third inning and were held to just one hit in the game.<\/p>\n
P. Moller had two hits, one a double, and an RBI.\u00a0 Serck finished with two hits.\u00a0 Ebert, Christensen, and Doering all had a single and an RBI.\u00a0 Pies added a single.\u00a0 E. Moller pitched five innings and allowed one run, unearned, on one hit with no walks and 13 strikeouts.<\/p>\n
After a scoreless inning, the Cub offense got to work in their win over the Fliers.\u00a0 Alcester-Hudson had one run in the top of the second, but exploded for 12 runs in the top of the third.\u00a0 They added two more in the top of the fourth inning while collecting 17 hits total in the game.<\/p>\n
Doering had three hits, including a home run, and four RBIs.\u00a0 Ebert had two doubles and two RBIs.\u00a0 Christensen had two hits and two RBIs.\u00a0 Serck finished with two hits, one a double, and an RBI.\u00a0 P. Moller, E. Moller, and Pies all had two hits and an RBI each.\u00a0 Manning had a double and an RBI, and E Solberg finished with a single.\u00a0 E.
