The Cubs built an early 6-1 lead after two innings and then held off a Mustang rally to win their first game of the day.\u00a0 Tri-Valley scored one run in the top of the third and then tied the game 6-6 with a four-run top of the fourth inning.\u00a0 The Cubs got two runs on a two-run double by Emma Moller.\u00a0 Tri-Valley then went down in order in the top of the fifth giving the Cubs the win.<\/p>\n
E. Moller had three hits, two of them doubles, and three RBIs.\u00a0 Delta Pies had two hits, one a double.\u00a0 Jenna Manning finished with two singles.\u00a0 Emma Solberg added a double and an RBI.\u00a0 Paxtyn Moller had a hit, and Elly Doering had an RBI.\u00a0 E. Moller pitched five innings and allowed six runs, five earned, on five hits and six walks with 11 strikeouts.<\/p>\n
The Cubs struck early in their second game of the day against the Cossacks.\u00a0 Alcester-Hudson scored five runs in the bottom of the first and three more in the bottom of the second for an 8-0 lead.\u00a0 Sioux Valley got one run in the top of the third, but the Cubs added four more in the bottom of the inning for a 12-1.\u00a0 The Cossacks scored two runs in the fourth and another in the top of the fifth.<\/p>\n
Hannah Ahart had three singles and three RBIs.\u00a0 E. Moller finished with three hits, one a double, and an RBI.\u00a0 P. Moller also had three hits.\u00a0 Doering added two singles and two RBIs.\u00a0 Laney Decker had two hits, one a triple, and an RBI.\u00a0 Sarah Ebert finished with two hits, including a double, and an RBI.\u00a0 Pies added a single and two RBIs, and Jaeley Christensen had a single.\u00a0 E. Moller pitched five innings and allowed four runs, just one earned, on six hits and three walks with nine strikeouts.<\/p>\n
A five-run bottom of the first inning was enough for the Cubs in their game against the Flandreau Fliers.\u00a0 . Moller was dominate on the mound allowing just one run, an unearned run in the fourth inning, on just one hit and one walk with 10 strikeouts.<\/p>\n
Solberg finished with two hits.\u00a0 E. Moller also had a double and two RBIs in the first inning.\u00a0 Doering added a double and an RBI.\u00a0 P. Moller, Ebert, and Alexis Gray all had one hit each.<\/p>\n
In the final game of the day, the Trojans scored 11 runs in the bottom of the first inning and added four more in the bottom of the third while holding the Cubs hitless in the game that ended on the 15-run rule.\u00a0 Alcester-Hudson did not have a base runner in the game.<\/p>\n
