The Alcester-Hudson Cub track teams took part in the Southeast South Dakota Showcase held at the University of South Dakota Lillibridge Track Complex in Vermillion on Thursday, May 22nd. The girls team was eighth with 26 points. The boys team placed ninth with 37 points.
The 4x200m relay team of Ayonna Schissel, Emily Winquist, Elsie Bovill, and Emma Solberg won with a time of 1:53.44. Devin Hongslo was fourth in the shot put with a throw of 34’3″. Solberg took fifth in 200m dash with a time of :27.90.
Evan Haak placed third in the discus with a throw of 143’4″. The 4x200m relay team of Evan Brown, Brody Andrews, Darin Dykstra, and Ethan Bovill was third in a time of 1:35.25. Bovill placed fourth in the 400m dash in a time of :51.87. Jose Topete-Lopez was fourth in the shot put at 46’6″. Jackson Meyer took fourth in the triple jump with a leap of 38’10.25″.
