Alcester-Hudson Softball Earns Walk-off Win over Raiders

The Alcester-Hudson scored three times late in the game to earn a 3-2 walk-off win over the Gayville-Volin Raiders on Monday, May 13th.

The Raiders scored their two runs right away in the top of the first inning.  They continued to lead 2-0 until the bottom of the sixth.  Sarah Ebert had an RBI double in the inning to cut the lead to 2-1.  Emma Moller had a one-out RBI single in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game 2-2.  An intentional walk and strikeout followed that at-bat.  Jaeley Christensen hit a single to left field scoring E. Moller for the game-winning run.

Christensen had three hits and an RBI.  E. Moller had two hits and an RBI.  Delta Pies also had two hits.  Ebert finished with a double and an RBI.  Jenna Manning and Paxtyn Moller both had one hit each.  E. Moller pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs on three hits and four walks with 15 strikeouts.
