The Alcester-Hudson Cub softball team rolled past Ethan-Parkston on Monday, May 5th to a 15-1 victory.
The first inning was scoreless, but the Cubs scored two times in the top of the second. The score remained 2-0 in favor of the Cubs through the third inning. Alcester-Hudson then exploded for seven runs in the top of the fourth to extend the lead to 9-0. Ethan-Parkston picked up a run in the bottom of the fourth. The Cubs added six more runs in the top of the fifth for a 15-1 advantage. The game ended on the 10-run rule after Ethan-Parkston was held scoreless in the bottom of the fifth.
Skylar Honslo had two hits, including a home run, and two RBIs. Jenna Manning and Emma Soberg both had two hits and an RBI each. Delta Pies also had two singles. Paxtyn Moller had a double with four RBIs. Emma Moller added a triple with three RBIs. Jaeley Christensen had a single and two RBIs. Lexi Milller and Ava Kingma both had a hit with an RBI. Moller pitched five innings and allowed an earned run on six hits and five walks with nine strikeouts.
